I experienced this when cursor tracking is turned off. You should be able to turn that on with the VO jshift F3.Sent from my iPhoneOn Apr 23, 2025, at 9:52 PM, Bradford Snyder wrote:I am not experiencing this on my Mac, running Sequoia 15.4.1.Try interacting, and then using VO + Right Arrow, and
I am not experiencing this on my Mac, running Sequoia 15.4.1.
Try interacting, and then using VO + Right Arrow, and see what you get.

When you navigate using the tab key, or shift + tab, you are automatically

The same is true when using VO + J.

Hi Lorie,
First, go to the View menu and make sure the Side Bar is shown.
When I’m in the list of emails, I usually press Shift + Tab twice to get to the
Side Bar. Once there, I can move through the list of folders with cursor
up/down without having to interact or use the VO keys.

You can open/close the Mailbox list table by pressing CTRL + CMD + S.
It doesn’t matter whether you interact with the Mailbox list table or not.
If not interacted, then navigate using up or down arrow keys.
I disagree that column view is confusing, and prefer this layout because it is
the traditional view found in most other mail apps.
Also, I rarely interact with the mailbox list view, and tend to navigate using
only up or down arrow keys when in the list.
I do recommend that the preview pane be co
You need to do a VO left Aero to get out of the inbox assuming your QuickNav is
off. I don’t recommend column view for mail I found it made things more
confusing.

I can focus on all inboxes but can’t get anything to change when I press left
arrow. would I navigate down using the down arrow or some other way? also does
using collumn view or not have anything to do with this?

When you hear VoiceOver say “Mail has no windows”, try pressing CMD + NumberRow
1, to put focus on your consolidated Inbox. You may need to press CMD + 1
twice to make sure focus is on the Inbox list, and not on the Mailbox list
table.

You don’t have to use arrow key navigation to move to “keyboard”.
I just opened System Settings, VOiceOver said I was in the side panel, I then
typed key and VOiceOver said Keyboard.
Hope this helps folks!

This is not correct.
In macOS System Settings, Keyboard is not located within General, like on iOS.
In both macOS Sonoma (which is what Lori is now running), and Sequoia, Keyboard
is on the same level as General, and in the System Settings sidebar, is located
below Wallet and ApplePay.

Hi Lorie,
When in System Settings, go to the View menu. After the first few items,
everything is in alphabetical order and Keyboard is one of the items.
