I suspect the original poster could have been mistaken in stating that the CTRL + Delete key-command could be used to initiate a shut down. On some Mac keyboards, there is an Eject key located immediately above the Delete/Backspace key. I suspect the poster was thinking about CTRL + Eject, rath
