The TouchBar is not that big of a deal. Once you get use to it, the absence of
regular F-keys is a non-issue. I really don’t miss having F-keys. I would
much rather have the extra USB ports

Hi Brad,
This was probably the main reason I went with the Air, as I wanted regular
function keys and did not wish to deal with the Touch Bar. My unit is scheduled
to arrive this Thursday. Meanwhile, I appreciate all of the discussion on key
commands!
Best,

Les

Subject: shutting down my Mac

I have tried using CTRL + Delete on both my 2018 Mac mini, and my 2019 MacBook
Pro 13, and have not been able to get this key-command to initiate a shut down
on either machine.

I am able to use CTRL + Eject, on my 2018 Mac mini, with an Apple wired USB
keyboard, to bring up a shut down dialogue.
This key-command does not work on my 2019 MacBook Pro 13, because TouchBar Macs
do not have an Eject key.
