Hi!
I begin to think that its something with my Asus Ax rt-58U router.
I see when I search on the internet that there are problems with IpV6 and the
Airport express.
So this is disabled in my router but no luck so far.
I will dig into this later.

Hi!
Ok, i have to try that again then.
It says in the instructions I have to remove the power cable before resetting
it.
I didn’t do that .
I just pushed the reset button.
That might be an issue.
We’ll see.

There might be a diagnostics and usage screen on the Utility app. If, this
should show uptime, and might even have some logs of what is going on, but
probably not enough to truly help.

I had some issues similar to yours when I changed my airport extreme router to
a new Netgear router. I had to reset my airport express to make it work as
normal again. I used the reset button on the back of airport express and then
set it up again.

I wonder if your express is rebooting. I believe you can check its vptime in
airport Vtility. Is it connected to the rest of your network with cable or
wi-fi?

Hi,
I believe that the interface has changed with the new Airport Utility so this
needs to be done differently. Try this:
• Open Airport Utility.
• Press VO-space on the Airport Express you wish to create the Profile for.
• Press the Edit button so that the various configuration tabs appear.

Hi Tim,
Indeed you're right. Thanks for pointing this out. I looked again, and the
setting I want, creating a port mapping, is not immediately apparent. Mine is
now set up to connect to an existing wireless network. Only if I switch the

Hi,
Everything you need to set up both basic and advanced features of the Airport
Express can be found in the Airport Utility. Depending on whether you're using
the newest AU or the Snow Leopard version, will determine how you get to these
features. In the Snow Leopard version, when you first

Yeah, I wish I still had my UFO, but it crapped out and I switched to the Time

Yeah, I have a flying saucer airport base station sitting next to my UUNET mug

Hi,
But the original poster didn't specify. They just said modem. I think its
just natural to assume one is speaking of a DSL or cable modem.

Correct, I was thinking of DSL or cable. How quickly one forgets about those

Scott,
I believe you are thinking of a DSL modem or Cable modem, both of which are
supplied with a ethernet output. Traditional modems use a phone line with a
RJ11 connector, and there is no RJ11 jack on the current versions of Apple's
Airport line of Router/BaseStations.

Hi,
That 5ghz band isn't supported by either ipod touch or iphones.
All other apple products support it.
So you will have to switch to either or. Normally you should be able to set it
up so as to support both bands, twin 2.5 and 5ghz For all your home units If
you have different macs on it. B
Are you certain the router supports 5ghz and if so is it enabled?
