Hi Mike:
Interesting. My experience is completely the opposite. I can at least copy
and paste to my VRS from my macbook pro. But, I can't get it to work with the
stream's sd card. I did have to go have disk utility recognize the stream.
But, it's worked ever si nce.

It can't! there's something in the file format which prevents that.

The victor itself doesn't show up on my mac, I'm thinking this is a problem
with the stream though because my book sense, plextalk pocket and book port
plus show up just fine. Fortunately, there is an easy work around for the
stream, just put the card in to a card reader.

I could never get that to work on 2 separate macs running 10 6 6. Has anyone
found any workarounds that would make it work? What I'm seeing here is that
it's hit or miss. Some folks got it to work, while others did not. Maybe this
is a chipset thing? Thoughts?

hi,it's too bad there is no stream companion for the mac because when yu unzip
the folder, the companion automatically sends it to the correct folder on your
sd card.

There should be no need for software really, it shows up as another drive, just
copy the content to the appropriate folders.

Hi!
You can do everything with the Victor Reader Stream by hand, the only thing you
can't do is convert from the Victor Reader Streams audio format, that's what
the software does and that's only for Windows.
Now I believe that Humanware have an upgrade package for the Stream available,

Good morning everyone,
I don't think this is an issue with Windows XP on a VMWare machine as I have
managed to authorize a BookSense XT to work with Audible with no issues.

hmmm.
I was thinking that a few hundred of us all show up at their corporate offices
and quietly (and politely) request that they have a word with us. it certainly
would get their attention.

Hi!
I agree with that. After that, we just need Stream Companion for Mac OS X and
we're good to go.

Yeah, that should work. I'm told that HW is aware of the issues authorizing
the Stream to play audible books using the Mac. I don't want to start needless
speculation here, but, I reckon it sure would be nice if Humanware would
finally come out with a solution which would allow Mac users to na

Thanks so much for this. However, How would she get the stream authorized to
run audible books if we can't get it working? Should we authorize it on another
windows machine, then we could just move all the downloaded audible files to
the card manually through the finder? WOuld that work? Thanks
I think it might be vmware, since I had the same thing happen with windows XP.
My suggestion for audible is to simply use a card reader, and liet itunes
handle the downloading of the audible content.

I can't speak to using windows 7 or fusion. But if your friend selects to run
snowleopard, you can go into disk utility when the stream is plugged in and
look for mount, which is the way to get the mbp and the stream to shake hands
and be friends.

Hi,
THis is probably a dumb question, but why can't you just place the Audible Key
on to the new SD card? Providing you saved your Audible authorization key. Now
that I think of it, I didn't have to reauthorize my Stream when I installed my
new SD card. I thought I'd actually have to do this, b
So, audible authorization has to be done for each SD card. This would explain
why my stream isn't working any more. This is a bit annoying. So, if I use a
different SD card, I have to authorize again, this could be a bit annoying to
say the least.
