Hi Sarah and Mike, I was expecting to have to turn brightness down every time, I should have someone check. All I know is that VO reports the brightness being at 1% or 0% every time I check, not sure it tracks the actual percentage properly, but it certainly appears to hold the initial setting

You should get muchmore than 3 hours, especially if the brightness is 0, are you remembering to turn it down to zero each time? The mac assmes that if you shut down with a brightness of 0 and you might forget and think your display is not working the next time you power up. So, if you shut down

Hi Nektarios: That sure doesn't sound right to me. I generally get about 6 hours per charge, and I'm always amazed when I go back to my old PC and it runs out after 3. You may want to take that rascal into an Apple store for a check-up if you can. I know they'll do their best to make it right
