OK, to answer Chris' question first, he's correct that you can't speed
up the playback of an audio track in iTunes, although you can do this
with QuickTime player. So what I do to listen to podcasts speeded up
in iTunes is to run a couple of AppleScripts that hand over the
playback f
open excluding radio streams.

I don't know of any way to tell itunes a particular file is a podcast,
but you can either declare it an audiobook or check the options to
have it save your place and be skipped when you shuffle. You get to
all these options by focusing on the file, pressing Command-I, and
going t
vely. The same commands should work on
