I run VMWare, and keep a USB keyboard on hand for when I need to run my Windows
VM. I use the insert key on the top left of the six pack for this. Yes, the
caps lock key won't work in VMWare, but it will in Bootcamp. At least it did

Sorry for the delay, I was hoping somebody else would answer. I have never used
a bluetooth keyboard with my Macintosh. Certainly it should work the same way
as with a USB where the insert key works as a jaws key, but occasionally things
don't work as smoothly in complex environments.
Thanks for these responses. I’ll try out these suggestions. Does this mean that
if I use a Windows bluetooth keyboard, this issue would not be present? The
insert key would serve as the JAWS key? That would be a good solution.

The Insert key would be the Caps lock key. You would need to go into the
preferences of JFW and ensure that your keyboard layout is set to laptop. You
can also use a program like SharpKeys to remap a key you do not use to the JAWS
key.
