On my iPad Mini with Retina it always starts in portrait, tabletop mode.
Whether this can be changed like on the iPhone and iPod Touch I don't know.

Hi!
True.
However i feel that on the iphone i'm quite fast with touchtyping.
But i need to check the braille keyboard out.
Should i have my ipad mini in portrait or landscape and how should i turn it?

Actually, I am using my iPad Mini more than I did under iOS 7 because of the

Actually, ever since iOS8, I use the iPad mini more than my iPod touch, because
for one thing I have Alex, and for another, the iPod is slower than an iPod 4
with iOs6.

Wow, no braille errors! David, how do you manage the space not working? And how
long does it take you to write things on the onscreen braille compared to the
braille display or keyboard?

Hi!
I have upgraded my ipad mini and so far i've only found that voiceover crashes
sometimes.
I can live with it until the bugs are fixt.
I have tried to use the braille input with no luck yet.

Hi,
I agree with David. Change is not often welcome even though it is inevitable.

People are often uncomfortable with change. Therefore, there is a tendancy to
focus on the negatives rather than the positives.
In my opinion, there is also a subset of people who are not happy unless they

Chris,
Its not hard to understand. I for one do not want to spend time
learning work arounds for bugs that will eventually be fixed. Its not a
game where one scores points. I did not get my iPhone for any purpose
other than to use it as a phone or use the apps on it. I dont want to

That's really interesting. The only thing I can figure is that you got your
calibration set right, and I didn't. Maybe it has something to do with getting
it set wrong, and The iPhone won't change it once it gets set. That's the
only thing I can figure.

Hi Cheryl
Which device is working okay for the braille input? I have a 5S iPhone, and
that is the one I'm having trouble getting it to work on. I don't have an iPad,

I don't think the bugs are that bad. If I lose VoiceOver, and sometimes when I

My newly-arrived iPhone 6 Plus seems perfectly robust. I love it. What's all
the whinging about? You'd have to go mad at it to bend this.
As to the new stuff, well, I'll have to save up for anything new, but I think

First, the thing about the iPhone 6 and 6+ bending is a hoax. Yes, you can
break a phone if you really wanted to: but, then again, you can break any
