One thing that might speed up gmail syncing and save space on your computer
would be to reduce the number of messages that Google iMAP allows to be
downloaded. My memory is that there is a checkbox with a default of 2000
messages. So supposedly if you checked this you would only have the 2K most

Gmail all folder
I'd love to know that too actually, I didn't know there was an option to do
that, and that folder to me is a space waster sense I never use it.

Yes, you have to do it via gmail website interface, in setting and I think in
labels tab where you uncheck the all mail folder. That's how it used to work.
