Yep. You do have multitrack support. It looks really promising as a soundforge
replacement for the mac. Once I buy the license, I'll really have a look at it.

Hi GF,
I have to agree with Sarah, Amadeus is great. I use it too for all my
multi-track recordings. I have never used Audacity so I can't comment if it is
accessible or not. Eric Caron who is on this list as well has a great podcast
on amadeus up on BLind Cool Tech. I used his podcast as a gui
I use amadeus pro for my multi track stuff.

Can you have multi tracks in this one as well?

Hi Kevin,
Yes AMadues is similar in a lot of ways to Sound Forge. I have Sound Forge on
my HP Desktop and love it. RInger is an program used to create ringtones. You
can download a demo version. I did a podcast on Ringer. You can check it out at:

Figured out Amadeus. 2 minutes of looking at that program yielded the results I
needed. If I set spacebar to rewind, then use left and right brackets in
conjunction with shift, it looks like I can make my selections. Awesome. Looks
like I can use this just like I did with soundforge on windwos.
Does ringer or amadeus give you more soundforge like usability? I have amadeus
pro, but seemed to be having the same problem. What is ringer by the way?
Another audio editor? Thanks so much for the info.

Hi Kevin,
WHaat are you using Fission for? If it's to create a ringtone, I had the same
problem you described. If you are using Fission to create ringtones, I use
either RInger or Amadeus Pro. I hope that helps.

Answer: There is no automated way as far as I can tell. The method I use is
to listen and determine where the sound begins, split the clip at that location
Hey folks. About 2 years ago, I bought fission. While I think it's a great
program, I have some basic questions.
1. How do you crop silence from start and end from a file? I couldn't seem to
find an easy solution for that.
2. How do you make the play head jump back to the selection every time s
