Hi!
Another audio editor that seems to work is Fission from Rouge Amoeba which also
sells and makes the audio hijack program.
I have tried it a little and it seems accessible.
It costs 35 dollars so its not expensive at all I think.
Note that this only is an editor and there’s no effects to add
Dear all, is there a voiceover friendly tutorial out there somewhere for using
Fission? Specifically, I would like to learn to select portions of an audio
file to delete. The help file really isn't to elaborate in terms of using it

Hi all
I use Fission by Rogue Amoeba to edit audio and save them as ringtones.
I was trying to do the latter this morning but for the life of me I
can't select the part I want to save as a ringtone. The set selection

Both Audio Hijack Pro and Fission are great and I think it's worth the

loss in quality. The cool thing with Fission is you can save the file as
an iPhone ringtone. If the file is too long you will be asked to use the
Hi,
Yes Fission is accessible. It takes a little getting used to but for the
occasional time I've had the need to edit audio, it worked just great for me.

Hi.
I am going to purchase a license for Audio Hijack Pro today, and wondering
if it's worth it to buy the AHJ and Fission bundle, which is discounted. Is
Fission accessible?
Thanks.

Hi,
When I use Fission to edit audio, I do the following:
• Listen to the audio then press spacebar to stop at the start-spot where I
wish the Ringtone to begin.
• Press cmd-t to "Split" the clip at that spot.
• Press cmd-[ or cmd-] to select either the Previous or Next Clip.
• Pres

Hello, I am trying to learn how to use Fission with Voice Over and I am having
some trouble. For those of you that don't know what Fission is, I will let you
know that Fission is an audio editor for the Mac. It can be used to make
iPhone ringtones, and this is what I am trying to use i
Hi,
I have a question about the audio editor called fission from Rogue Amoeba. How
can I select and remove chunks of a file, I was told that it's accessible?
Thanks,

Thanks to an answer from Rogue Amoeba, I can respond to my own post.
Any attempt on the part of a voiceOver user to explore or interact with the set
play head and time selection dialogs causes focus to move out of the input
fields, rendering it impossible to enter anything.

Greetings y'all,
I understand how to move the play head in small increments with the arrow keys
and select via "i" and "o", but thought I'd ask whether the faster head
movement/selection techniques are accessible in a manner that I missed.
When I select tools -> select play head I can not locat
Yep. You do have multitrack support. It looks really promising as a soundforge
replacement for the mac. Once I buy the license, I'll really have a look at it.

Hi GF,
I have to agree with Sarah, Amadeus is great. I use it too for all my
multi-track recordings. I have never used Audacity so I can't comment if it is
accessible or not. Eric Caron who is on this list as well has a great podcast
on amadeus up on BLind Cool Tech. I used his podcast as a gui
I use amadeus pro for my multi track stuff.

would it better to get this program or use audacity? I have been playing with
that and it seams pretty cool. Witch one is better? I like the multi-track
setup in audacity.
Can you have multi tracks in this one as well?

Figured out Amadeus. 2 minutes of looking at that program yielded the results I
needed. If I set spacebar to rewind, then use left and right brackets in
conjunction with shift, it looks like I can make my selections. Awesome. Looks
like I can use this just like I did with soundforge on windwos.

Hi Kevin,
WHaat are you using Fission for? If it's to create a ringtone, I had the same
problem you described. If you are using Fission to create ringtones, I use
either RInger or Amadeus Pro. I hope that helps.

Answer: You need to first be interacting with the playhead
Hey folks. About 2 years ago, I bought fission. While I think it's a great
program, I have some basic questions.
1. How do you crop silence from start and end from a file? I couldn't seem to
find an easy solution for that.
2. How do you make the play head jump back to the selection
Hi list; thanks to the member that suggested fission. I just tried
it, and i was able to make it do what i wanted with very little
trouble. I deleted unnecesary audio at the beginning and end of a wav
file and saved it to my hard drive. it handles a lot of different
file types, and it
Hi,
Yes, definitely. The only thing that is not currently accessible in any Rogue
Amoeba product is the "Effects" area. You can add effects, but when you'd like
to add more than one it seems impossible. Of course, if anyone has a workaround
to this, I'd be happy to hear it. Clicking with the m
Seems to be at least quite accessible. Better than audacity was for
me at least.

Hi everyone,
I am looking at rogue amoeba's site, and they offer a bundle of audio hijack
pro and a sound editing software called fission.
Is this last software accessible?
Thanks, and best
