I heartily agree with this recommendation, both the app and the tutorial which
was invaluable for me. I’ve been able to work with multi-track editing in
AmadeusPro since using Jonathan’s tutorial. It is a little tricky at first to
get the hang of things, especially the playhead and insertion poi

For me at least, this program is now one less reason why I don't use windows

Hi there,
I want to edit some audio including combining several music clips and adding
spoken word over top.
I have Garageband, but is this the best program for doing this? Can I even do
this with Garageband or is it just for creating music?
What would have the least step learning curve?

I use Audacity all the time with no problem. You need to download it from
audacity.sourceforge.net, not the App Store. However, once an audio file has
been saved, there is really not much you can do to improve its quality.
Normalizing affects volume, not quality, which is why you didn't notice m
Hello,
I would like to edit audio tracks that contains speech from a phone-call.
The quality is not that good so I want to make it better , if possible.
I have tried audacity but see not that difference with the normalize option.
But perhaps more important: I can't edit any preferences, can't see
Hi all.
Just FYI, this is a really old version of Audacity. v2.x is out. No clue about
accessibility in that version, or if there's a special version floating around
somewhere.

Hi, here's the accessible version of audacity. Don't ask me how I found it in

Hi,
Is there a way to edit audio files on the mac with voiceover?
I'm looking for some sort of simple program like mp3 direct cut. I don't think
that one works on the mac.
Any sort of simple free audio editor recommendations would be nice.
Thanks,

Hi Marco,
Amadeus is wonderful. Especially its batch converter is amazing. Not only can
you convert from one file format to the other, with all your options for the
target format in place such as tag info and even album art, but it also lets
you perform file operations during the conversion. For
Does it need to be free? If so, I believe Sound studio will serve. Willing to
pay? Then you might try Amadeus Pro. YOu can get it from the app store.

Well, Steph, a lot of us use Amadeus Pro. Some others of us use Garadge Band.
I could never quite get my head around Garadge Band though. Oh, another
choice is Audacity.
Amadeus Pro costs $59.95 for a single user license, Garadge Band is free; comes
with your unit. Audacity is free; at lea
I have a recording on my olympus 520 and was wondering if there
is software to edit it on the mac. Would garage band do it? Or
something else? I want something simple please as I'm not that
tech minded. I just want to add effects, and edit out some of
the audio.
Thanks.
