The only way I have been able to get rid of things like disk not ejecting
properly is holding down the Fn, VO, and hitting the o key. Then I get a menu
with choices, including the close button.
That generally seems to work.

can also access the center with Function N and VO Command Space to bring up the

OK, so looked at the Podcasts app in Catalina. Don’t VO space on the Heading,
but on the actual title such as most recent. Uninteract and VO Right and you
will find things from there.

I would think that installing Catalina on top of an existing installation of
Catalina shouldn’t be a problem as long as you use an installer for the same or
newer version of Catalina as is currently on your Mac. This should be no
different than doing an upgrade.

because finding it that way wasn’t coming easy for me. What I did was to do a
Google or whatever search engine you use in Safari to look for it, and search
for something like “download Mac OS Catalina”. You should get a direct link to
the apps store where the installer is located.

As I stated in my earlier post, Catalina has been out for a year, and is really
quite stable for the most part.
For anyone not already on Catalina, I would suggest upgrading to Catalina, and
then give it awhile before upgrading to Big Sur. This way you will give the
bug-hunters awhile to
Adding to this thread…I just learned that TurboTax for 2020 is the last year
they will make the program useable on Mojave or older. Tax year 2021 version
requires Catalina or higher to work. So there’s the opposite concern over
changing or not changing.

Catalina first came out, there were a lot of issues. That was my original
reason for delaying the upgrade. So, if Big Sur is stable, I think I’ll just
skip Catalina altogether.

I think you should upgrade to Big Sur if you can.
The operating system is pretty stable and there are some braille issues in
safari with Catalina.
But that depends on how much you need your Mac for work.
But it should work right out of the box when its released.
