When I upgraded pages the other day I went to the appstore and typedpages
for a search.
It said it would run $20, I hit the purchase button, signed in with my
id and it said it was free as I had purchased a previous version.
So it downloaded and installed it.

Two things, first, the newest pages only works with Mavericks, so, if you're
running Mavericks then you can try the next option, otherwise, you're out of
