Dunno what happened but am now unable t connect the Magic Trackpad
2. Its also paired with the iPad which is at the moment powered off. So
can't check its battery status. I removed the trackpad then added it
back to the Mac but it won't connect. Ideas?

Hi. Here is the battery status script. Once you've downloaded it, place it in
library/scripts/voiceover. Then under Voiceover utility, do the following.
1. In the utility categories, arrow down to commanders.
2. Stop interacting and select the keyboard commander.
3. Find the add button.
4.
If it is not already there, you can enable battery status in menu
extras. Go to system preferences and open the energy category and near
the bottom is a check box to display it on menu extras.

That's good news. I din't think that it would be a difficult fix since the
announcement was still made when charging, but not when just on battery power.
Also, with a graphic being present for sighted users, there's easy access to
the status data.
