Hello all,I have discovered that all kind of services (that where available in
al programs) are gone now, I think since the update to 10.6.7.
Now, there is only one item: construct, or something ilk that.
Does others here have also this experience?
Thanx alot for your answers,

Thanks.
Now that I've checked allow Voice Over to run scripts, I don't anticipate
crashes, however, should it happen again, thanks for the tip.

Hello Ray,
Do you have "Allow VoiceOver to be controlled with AppleScript" checked?
Many people have reported VO crashing when using the Keyboard Commander and
having this option off.
Check it in VO Utility, General category.

Yes, my keyboard commander is on. Let's say I have such a crash again. How
then, without speech, can I turn keyboard commander off? Also, will I then be
able to get speech back?

I'm having what I call partial crashes. What will sometimes happen is this.
I'll be proceeding as normal, and then, Voice OVer will crash in such a way
that I hear the voice over sounds but no speech. Nothing will restore it at
all; not even control+Option+command+eject. The only solution in
I am still having voice over quitting. I press f5 four times to get voice over

Thanks for that, Scott. I'll look more carefully next time there's an update.
I'll see if I can poke around the updates app or the website to find past info
as well.

Yes. If you navigate through the Software Update screen, you will find an html
area that contains release notes. YOU are not likely to find much information
about accessibility directly, but there is information that might be of
interest. I do not recall if you have to click on the deta
I'm liking it already. I left it to do its installing thing while I puttered

No. Lion will be version 10.7.
That is due out sometime this summer; or so i believe. Trust me, when Lion is

Hello!
Hmm this is interesting. i downloaded the big file (about 0.98 GB) and it still
fails. It says that there was an unknown error which caused the install to fail
and if the problem persists I should contact the vendor.

Firefox, including the new Firefox 4, does not work with VoiceOver. I'll let
others speak to your questions regarding speed and security.

work, get the larger combo download. This is also a safer step if you are
jumping several versions of the OS with your update (e.g. from 10.6.5 to

Note that anyone who has an early 2011 MacBook Pro should use a separate,
custom download for this update.

Mailboxes appear much faster in mail, switching from window to window in
finder, using music applications and opening system preferences or voice over
preferences all make a major improvement.
