Go into the vo utility and pick the first row in the table, it might be called
general or something like that. this is where you can add a personalized
greeting when the computer is turned on. In this same row is the radio button
for "use apple scripts". Make sure this is checked.

For that preview pane thing, stop interacting with the messages table.
Vo right left arrow to the *vertical* splitter. Then you have to either click
the physical mouse or the track pad.
You know you're successful in getting rid of the preview pane if you get tossed

I found another daisy app called Emerson, which looks more promising.
I'm playing around with it now but can't figure out how to open daisy files
with it. Maybe it doesn't like bookshare daisy books.

Setting up the vm is accessible. I think as long as you have the key you can
put it on three machines. My vm is 40 gigs, but all I'm using my windows
machine for is k1000 and some windows games that don't have mac versions yet so
I don't need a big one.
