I'm running an xp virtual machine and am doing the trial version of fusion 6.0.

I had to try installing vm tools twice, but it took on the second try.  I am 
not having issues with crashing.

How much ram do you have on your mac?  also, wonder if you need to make the ram 
for the vm more then it presently is?

I have 16 g of ram on my i mac.
