Ouch. That sucks and if your drive is that full, getting an online backup
solution that is cheap won’t be easy. However, you might want to check out

procedure is quite detailed):

Right now, I am still formulating the idea for the project itself. It will be a
complete open source braille notetaker using readily available off the shelf
components (including the Orbit display, if I can get it cheap enough). I might
also consider a new design for the braille cells that uses

Well, it could be fairly easy to write a script that opens ~/Dropbox, but it
would probably be just as convenient to put Dropbox in the dock.

Does Dropbox actually have its own windowed environment with a window that can
be in the foreground and a menu to go along with it? I thought it just sat in
the menu extras area. I don't think one can add menu shortcuts items for menu
extras unless that is a feature of the new OS.

Hi,
I suggest you try an app called AppCleaner. You should be able to get rid of
all related items. Wondering though if since you've already trashed the app,
if you may find that it is not so easy to find all its related files.

Hi,
Formatting it to MacOS Extended (Journealed) is the best if you're only going
to be using it with a Mac. Sometimes, there are just hardware problems in the
mass manufacturing of things. I don't think that you did anything wrong, it's
just an unlucky fluke.

The VarioUltra could be updated just by placing files on the root of the

Also the attachments needed to be shown as icons in the email not as images in

I can do this easily enough on my Mac. But I don’t se

Hi,
This can be caused by either hardware failure of the drive itself, or corrupted
formatting that causes bad sectors on the drive. In the first case, you are
usually out of luck and cannot recover data, other than bits and pieces. In
the second case, do as they say. Get yourself a second d
Hi,
My research tells me that your easiest method is to use the tool provided in
the Clam XAV Installer you downloaded. In that package, there should be a
removal engine tool. Run that app, then remove the app from the Applications
folder, restart your Mac and you should be OK.

I have a possible open source OS idea I am working on via the RaspberryVi
mailing list. It would essentially replace the closed source OS of the unit
(and also possibly even the computer core) with an open source alternative that
wouldn’t be tied to any given OS for upgrades and maintenance. In
