Hi Phil, we have a Panasonic TV which is very good. We can navigate the program
guide and hear what's on. When we change input, for example to the WII, the
Apple TV or the Blu-Ray player, the voice output speaks the output we're on.
And when we select a channel, we're told the channel name, what
Hi,
Someone mentioned drives, about booting and not needing to boot. Are we
referring to CD/DVD drives or just an external drive for storage? As far as
USB devices like these go, do macs install drivers within minutes like they do
in Windows and no need to boot/reboot?
Thanks,
Sharon H.

Hay Chris.
That was not what I expected as a solution but I like it.
I will certainly try that. Although, It would be a lot easier if I had a
graphical user interface to deal with this problem.
Thanks again.

Hi guys.
Well, the subject says it all, I think.
I need an application that will allow me to create compressed files and be able
to specify a certain file size.
For those of you who use windows something like winrar or similar.
Any help is very much appreciated.

I’m sorry, I should have been more specific. I know about disc Utility

Hi,
Since the latest upgrade to El Capitan 10.11.2, when I launch Safari or Chrome,
or when changing pages in either browser, VoiceOver repeats ad infinitum the
percentage of the page loading. So it will keep on repeating 90% or 78 % and
it's like this. It doesn't happen on each page I go to

It might be better to use expect I am not sure if this is provided with macOS
also I did not get to look at the scripting dictionary for Terminal, it might

program that was more functional than trrminal.

So one question is where do you want your smarts? If you're going with
an AppleTV, do you really need anything but a dumb display? Unless there
is something that you're itching for on the TV itself then you might
want to save your money and let AppleTV be your TV's brain. That said,

Hi jeff,
I've noticed some strange things also.
When this happens I just go to doc and back to desk top and it corrects itself
for a while!

Hi Andrew,
Make sure external disks show up by using Finder Preferences, and all the
partitions should become visible.
I personally like to show all disks, i.e. check all the drives in Preferences.
This makes it easier to find them and verify they’re connected.

Hi,
If I connect an external drive which has several partitions, will all these
partitions show up on the desktop? Is there a way of making sure that they do
show up? I would like to partition an external drive into at least two, so
that one of them could be my back up volume for TimeMachine.
