I have a 2 gb external hd which is now one big partition, its mac os x extended
journal format.
I want to preserve part of it for data storage and use a 250gb part for carbon
opy cloner.
What is the best way to go about this?

I recently changed the setup that I use for my MacBook Air. I have the
MacBook docked in a stand, with the lid closed. A mouse and keyboard are
attached, but no monitor. In essence: clamshell mode minus an external
monitor. However, I'm having a few problems.

I did go into the voiceover utility and make the changes that Tim suggested.
However, I will keep in mind the shortcuts to, because in some situations might
need them. Anyway, I showed him the screen, and he likes the way it looks now.

As another poster said, you can go into the VoiceOver Utility and turn them
off, though the changes you make with the F key shortcuts should stick. I think
Apple made certain visuals display by default so sighted people could help new
users more easily, and since the blind user would never know

Thanks Alex. I am archiving this information so that I can remember when it
comes up again. However, I think it should a default not to show these things
because most of us don't need it. I could care less if my husband what VO is
saying.

I deleted and re-installed - an older version of the app and then upgraded
again to the latest version of the app which seemed to have sorted it. Oddly
there were some unlabelled buttons which I do not remember encountering before
but they all had help tags so I was able to quickly

But today, its working.

First on the list is that annoying senders name on mail. Why does it says every

Essentially VLC remains usable with hotkeys but Voiceover on my setup is unable
now to navigate any of the VLC main window elements and simply reports that VL

Hi Matthew, you may need to do it a bit, sounds like you may have interacted in
some way with the scroll area that controls the various tracks, which is
covered a little later in the tutorial.

I created a new recording in amadeus pro, after following the instructions in
Jonathan Mosen's tutorial which I just recently purchased. Here is my issue.
I record, set markers, press return, hit space, I hear the following, volumes,
popup button, and there's volume, none, and panning.

it may be that you're not routing the insertion point to the play head before
setting your marker with m. For most tasks, p is way easier, it involves fewer
