Hi Teresa
Thanks for the information, and I'm a try to do what you said about resetting
some things in Safari later. However, I discovered that Safari was downloading
the file and sending it out to downloads as well as opening it. I didn't think
it was saving it. So I ended up with a clean BRF f
Fantastic!
This works perfectly! Thank you very much.

As Mark said, you probably have it set so you need the function key to be
pressed to issue commands involving the f keys. You can change this in keyboard
preferences so that the f keys will perform their special tasks (brightness
volume, all that) either only when the function key is pressed, or
F1 and F2 alone control brightness. try pressing F2 without the VO keys and see
if that fixes it. If not, try Function F2.

I was trying to check what I had opened by hitting VO F1, twice, and instead of
the application chooser coming up, it kept saying "display brightness" and a
decreasing percentage. It hit zero, and then it suddenly brought up the menus.
When I tried to replicate this to bring the brightness back,
I use vlc. In fact, I've changed some of my defaults for file types to open in
vlc so they only open in iTunes if i really want them to do so.

True, I'd forgotten that. Be warned, though, that Quickview chokes on ogg and
other files that iTunes won't play, as both use the same decoding libraries
behind the scenes.

Hi,
if you just want to find a music file in finder, and listen to it, you can just

Hello,
What are people using on their Mac's to play music if not wanting to use
iTunes? Meaning, I don't want every song or audio I play to be added to
iTunes. Any advice?

Hello,
I know there's a way to export preferences in Voiceover, but I only need to
export the pronunciations alone to another computer. Do you know if there is
some way to do this, either within Voiceover Utility or perhaps a file that
they are stored in or something? Help would be appreciated.
I'm still having this problem. I can get to the help topics through the Apple
website, but not from help itself.. I googled this and found some instructions
for deleting the help cache from my library. I did this, emptied the trash,
logged back in, and no go. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Teresa

I was wondering if anyone has ever used a program called logos? If so, is it
accessible? My husband is a seminary student, and it would be very nice for him
if he could use it.

Usually, if I want to skip through a very long file in large increments, I stop
