Hey Sarah. Have you tried the Acapela voices? I'm using Tracy at this moment
and she sounds pretty clear, and actually, more calmer than any female voice
out there. Give her a try.

I'm assuming in the app there is a setting that allows you to choose where the
files are saved when ripped. Just choose your partition on your external drive.

I used a program to add mp3 tags to all of my music and it mislabelled some of
the songs; i.e. looking at the names of the songs you might expect to hear one
song, but a different song plays.
My question is whether iTunes Match matches your music based on the tags or
whether it takes a
