Hi,
I definitely think the fact that an agency is willing to get you a Mac is a
step forward to considering non-based Windows solutions. Of course, there is
also the issue of passing on the knowledge. Not everyone is even aware of
accessibility beyond Windows, and that includes agencies. Then,
My wife works for our local agency so I can tell you that no one there knows
the first thing about Macs.
If I was in the market for a job I'd push that fact!

Hi James,
ABBYY FineReader Express for the Mac is OCR software like Read Iris,
and is especially good at handling multi-language OCR and support.

I'm glad agencies are starting to consider this tech viable... After all, at

the current state of the economy has also driven agencies to consider the Mac
more so than they have in the past.

Hello James,
It's only the trial version that limits you to one page. I scanned a whole book
a few days ago and Abbyy FineReader did the OCR on the whole thing in one go.
It took about ten minutes for around 200 pages.
Cheers,
Anne

I figured it'd work, since I use the method every time I'm doing group

Hi list,
Having read Esther's post on Abbey Fine Reader Express for Josh, I am a little
confused. I have heard people mention Abbey Fin Reader Expres on here before,
and was under the impresion that it was a fully functional all-singing
al-dancing application which even provied multi-language
correct. I just turn the speakers down before shutting down for the night.
Take care.

Hi
got this off another list. I guess agencies are starting to consider macs as

Yay Congratulations on getting an agency to purchase a mac for you!! This

You can use http://www.biblegateway.com/
This would be for simple study. You have a built in dictionary on your mac.
Also, there is a link on this site for a mobile friendly version that is very
easy to use with voiceover.

What version of Mac OS X are you running?
To find outt:
1. Go to the Apple menu and when you're in the menu go to "About this Mac"
You'll be able to find out what version of Mac OS X you are running.
Mac OS X 10.6.2 seems to be quite buggy. Hopefully, 10.6.3 which should be
