Hi Linda,
As I pointed out, it's not a complete solution. It can still be improved, so
it's certainly not the preferred method of navigation just yet. You might as
well get used to how VoiceOver handles things as opposed to Windows screen
readers until it improves somewhat. :)

Been a while since I changed my commonly used bookmarks bar. New
bookmarks are added to the beginning so it shift everything over by one.
That means your #1 slot becomes the most recently bookmarked item and
you'll find your old #1 is now in the #2 slot. Easiest way I've found to

MaryHi Ricardo,
My itunes library is not saving to an external drive, although given the amount

Chris,
I've used this method and it is quite nice. I have a question. if I add
another web page to the bookmark bar, will it take the first position
and move the others down a number? If so, is there a way I can
reposition the bookmarks so the one I use the most keeps the short cut

Well, I just tried checking the Open files automatically box, and that didn't

Hi,
It has never imported into my audiobook section automatically without the open
downloads box being checked in Safari. I'm going to take a wild shot in the
dark but, could it be related to the drive in which you have your iTunes media
folder? My iTunes content is save on an external drive.
Numbers is also supposed to be quite accessible. I've played a little with
Pages, and it seems extremely good so far.

Hi Robert,
You know, this has always worked for me in the past, but this afternoon, after
seeing Mary's post, I tried it, and it didn't work. I experienced the same
thing Mary described, the book downloaded, but did not import into ITunes. I
wonder if this has something to do with version 10.
Hi Robert,
Yes, I am quite sure that books don't show up in my itunes library after
download. I checked the audio books section after downloading and found
nothing. Importing them makes them show up there. And prior to that, they are
in the download folder, where I would expect downloads to go n
Hi,
I do have Safari set to open the download. I doubt that this is the setting
that makes the difference but I don't know for sure. I haven't tested it.
Mary, are you sure that after the books download they don't automatically
appear in your iTunes library?

Another handy bit is that any bookmarks you store in the bookmarks bar
can be fired up just by hitting command-# where the number is the order
which the bookmark is in the bar list. So my most commonly used sites

Hmm. Maybe I didn't set things up correctly. That said I tried rip it

Same here.
You know, Mary, it might be worth a call to Audible. I understand why you see
it as a Mac issue, but once when I was having trouble getting books to import,
I called them and they were really helpful.

That could certainly account for their automatic entry into Itunes. If you

My audible books go in to my download folder just like you describe but iTunes

Hi Matt,
According to what I read on audible's site, there is no audible manager
software for the Mac, separate from Itunes. I've been using audible manager on
the pc for a long time, so when I got the Mac, I checked out what Audible had
to say and they don't seem to have any separate software.
Hi Carolyn
You might be able to change this in the Pronunciation Dictionary. I've never
used this myself, but perhaps others on this list have.
