Hi,
how do I change the pdf viewer?
I tried
Preferences ->
File Formats:pdf (pdflatex) ->
Viewer: /usr/local/Acrobat5/bin/acroread (instead of :xpdf),
but it just opens Acrobat Reader, not the .pdf file.
Do I need a parameter? Or what?

When trying to install LyX 1.4.1 under Windows XP and selecting spanish as
language, an error says "Lyx.cmd could not be created" and then LyX can not be
run because of the Lyx.bat file is missing.

i´ve recently upgraded to Lyx Version 1.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.5.2
For some reason Lyx doesn´t show the graphics I included in my documents.
When I run Lyx to create a pdf file they appear in the pdf-document though.
what did I do wrong?
any help appreciated.

the Graphics show up in the pdf-files, but not in the Lyx-frontend...
I have selected the "show in Lyx" Option in the graphics-context menu...

documentclass is the best for you depends on your needs. For a simple
paperback format, probably Standard will be the right choice.

I have a file on which I am currently working. It compiled fine under lyx
2.2.1.
Today I upgraded to lyx 2.2.2 and compiling the very same file results in
an error which I previously didn't experience.

I am working on a joint project with a colleague. My colleague has windows
with Lyx 2.2.3 while I have linux with Lyx 2.3

I was writing a message to report the same problem!
I am running on a sparc using solaris 2.6.
When I click update dvi I see the message, Running Latex and a second
later it says Done, but
no Latex run 1 and Latex run 2 messages like in 1.0.1.
When I look at the dvi file, no changes appear.
I reinstalled 1.0.1 and the problem was gone.

I have written my first LyX technical paper. It has all worked out
great, especially when compared to MS Word which I used before. However
I came to a problem with submiting it. The document is written as the
Article class, and the conference organizers demand the papers in
Springer LNCS
