fptex, win, lyx

I have installed lyx + fptex on windows. When I try to call the dvi viewer Latex can't find "setspace.sty". I found setspace.sty in the net, but where do i copy it in the fptex path ? Do I have to refresh the tex catalogue ? Help very appreciated!

lyx2lyx fails on document

created on and the PC I'm trying to open it on have very recent versions of LyX. They may not be the exact same versions, since one PC runs the latest stable Debian, and one the latest LTS Ubuntu, so both PCs have recent versions of LyX installed How can this be? Sincerely, Lars. -- lyx-

Windows 1.3.6: unrecognizable math symbols

mathematical symbols and greek letters etc. no longer display as anything recognizable. E.g. the symbol for a greek alfa is a trademark sign, a sum sign is a capital P. When converted to dvi format the result is fine. What am I missing? Please respond directly, I'm not subscribed to the list.

Thesis two language abstracts

supposed to be on to different pages. I already marked the Danish one up with: \layout Abstract But how can I have another abstract in English? Second, I'm not satisfied with the way Lyx divides the Danish words. Anyway I can turn this off, or perhaps avoid som words are split? -- Lars Olesen

Underlined "16"

Hi, perhaps it's a silly question, but I couldn't find it in the FAQ. Whenever I open a previously saved LyX-Dokument, a blue underlined "16" has been appended on the first line. What does that mean? And how do I get rid of it? Many thanks in advance Lars Reineke

using 1.1.6fix4 C-m works fine for mathmode, but when I type the copyright in (is there an easier way besides typing the word copyright?), the sign appears superscripted but should be much smaller. I am using this in an article heading.

Hi ! Watching my table as dvi it looks not very good , the borders are very close to the characters. Also there is no linewrap. Can I use a different kind of tables in lyx ? I am using document type article.

Change a document class slightly?

definitions/exapmles/theorems is like Example x.y.z, x is the Section, y is the Subsection. How can I get that? I might be ok if I found the modules Theorems (AMS) and Theorems (By Section) and had a look at them - but where do I find them? I'm using an Intel Mac. Many, many thanks!

Wide tables

Hi, Now I have made a wide table with 4 columns, but it is to wide to bee on the page. I tried to use CTRL+ENTER to make a forced linebreak in a heading, but it won't work in a table. How can I for instance change the font-size in the table, or make headings break on two lines? -- Lars O
