How do I find this file?

I have installed LyX Win32 on an XP machine including cygwin. I chose to
get all the necessary prerequisite stuff through cygwin rather than having
the install script download it (they all end up in $cygwin/bin). I have
added $cygwin/bin and $cygwin/usr/X11R6/bin to my environment path. When

Hello, I have a little bit of a problem. I can easily insert a summation
sign; however, how do I insert the upper and lower limits (above and below)
the summation symbol? I found the "frame" area, but it seems I can only
insert either the top, or the bottom; not both?

Actually, there is a commercial software (very expensive) that could do
it (with formulae). You can download a demo @ http://www.ktalk.com/. I
didn't try it. It seems to be a word macro. It also performs
tex->Wordpefect conversion.

Lyx does not appear to be removing its temporary files in /tmp.

could not remove a file. The name of the offending file is that of a

here the bind file is. Mine's in

and then convert it with Writer2LaTeX to LaTeX and then LyX.

Hello,
I'm slowly discovering LyX 1.4. I found that if you put your cursor in the
middle of a word and select the Edit --> Text style dialog. Changes are
applied to the whole word (that you have not selected). Is it a feature or
a bug ?
