I tried to install the Windows-Port of Lyx 1.1.4, but I didn't succeed.
In a first try, I at least got a window popping up, complaining about a
missing tmp-directory, but I couldn't get Lyx installed properly. (So my
X-Server should be fine!?)

already, but I (we) couldn't get Lyx running.

I also encountered problems using gerplain.bst.
Consider using plaindin.bst instead, which is available at
http://www.fh-hamburg.de/pers/Lorenzen/bibtex/

/usr/local/bin. Is the executable-flag of that file set!?
Alternatively, you can edit your lyxrc-file in your HOME-Directory and
specify the full path to the chktex-executable.

Just write \usepackage[ragged2e]{raggedr} in the preamble of your document
(Layout-Latex-Preamble), that's it!

I tried to setup kdvi als previewer for Lyx 1.1.6 by adding
\viewer dvi "kdvi"
to my preferences file in my home directory
Unfortunately kdvi doesn't start:

kviewshell: Unknown option '-paper'.

with KDE 1 and Lyx 1.1.5.

try for a while until you get the "right" cursor position (for that
effect!)
What's going on here? I'm aware, that this is probably more a development
issue, but I'm not subscribed to that list.
