I produce most of my statistical graphics in R and move them into LyX floats.
I've been exporting them as JPGs from R. Is there a better format that plays
well with LyX/LaTeX? Any suggestions are appreciated.

eps is a vector format and should have better results.

I was installing LyX on mac and failed. I encountered the following
error message.
AppleScript Error
The command exited with a non-zero status, (-1700)
This occured in the final stage of installing LaTeX files.
My mac is Mac OS X 10.4.11 and the LyX is the newest LyX1.5.3.
Any sugges

I was asked whether I want to overwrite default templates in my LyX
user's folder. I chose "yes".
