Hello
How can I get aspell to use the language German Switzerland (de_CH)?
If I chose "Deutsch (neue Rechtschreibung)" in the document properties
(format/document) I get an error message:
The file /usr/lib/aspell/ngerman could not be opened for reading.
If I chose "Deutsch" the language German G
But why would the inter-paragraph spacing change when the paragraphs
are centered? Before centering, there was no extra line between the
one-line paragraphs.

It is weird -- I tried to find out what is the status of support of de_CH in
LaTeX, but it seems to be pretty nonexistent (be aware, that I don't speak
German at all, so I know nearly nothing about this subtleties)

my change tracking does not appear in output. i exported DVI, and ran dvips,
however, it complains:
dvips: Could not find figure file dvipost:; continuing
dvips is installed on the box, but lyx/dvips is apparently not aware of
this.
what can i do?

Hi,
I'm a PhD student and I'd like to use LyX for my thesis. I'm new to LyX
(although I have written one research paper in LaTeX using
TeXnicCenter). I've read the Introduction, Tutorial and part of the
User's Guide.
I have two questions:

Hi folks... I'm trying to figure out the best way to diff lyx files. I've
found two utilities (ldiff and latexdiff) but haven't been able to get
either of them to work. What's the consensus these days on how best to do
this?
Thanks,

Hello,
It's not that I really have a preference as to the document class, but I
am being constrained by the regulations of a Thesis layout from the
University and I'm trying to use the document class that requires the
least amount of modification. Currently I am using the memoir class but

I am probably making a mistake which I don't understand:
In a document I input the following:
part*
section*
tex\setcounter{footnote}{0}
T X T with some footnotes and index inputs
New page
section* with the following title N°1 b, (p.6).
Then when I try to display with PDF_(pdflatex),
