Is there an easy way to redefine paragraph styles in Lyx?
I'm new to LyX and TeX, and I'm just trying to use it to typeset a book.
It's going well, I'm using the "book" document class, I get a nice
output, but now I want to change the chapter headings to a different
size and font, say. Or give the

So if you need to do this you can get my program here:

Hi,
now that everybody's been talking about OpenDocument
format I was wondering are there any plans to add
OpenDocument format import and/or export support to
LyX? Would it even be possible? Or should it be done
somewhere else, like in teTex?
Thanks.

My question possibly refers to conversion at a level lower than that of LyX, but
regardless:
I often find that my supervisor, who is an avid Windows XP user, cannot view
documents that I compile in LyX as PDF (this has gone on for over 2 years, PS
support needs additional software for Windows). I

Do you have any .pdf files where you know this happens?
Could you send me one. I will open it on my WinXP machine and see if it
is ok. Maybe there is something odd about your supervi

A I stated before I did not use BiBTeX
Whenever I start 1.4.0pre2/mac on Mac OS X 10.4.2 and hit , the app crashes. It won't crash when I use the mouse and select

Same problem here too. (also MacOS X 10.4.2)
Did anyone experience the other problem I mentioned? Instead of
umlauts in the german interface 1.4.0pre2 shows "u, "a and "o in all
interface elements (menus, popups, dialogues) but in the text window
umlauts are just as intended.

will help you. You need to give all three cpp files to the compiler or else
you will have to link it together by yourself.
