Same problem here too. (also MacOS X 10.4.2)Did anyone experience the other problem I mentioned? Instead of umlauts in the german interface 1.4.0pre2 shows "u, "a and "o in all interface elements (menus, popups, dialogues) but in the text window umlauts are just as intended.
