LaTeX can't handle spaces in file names. You should make a link from
your document directory to this file and/or refer to it with a
relative path.

i moved my .bib file to a directory that did not contain spaces. My lyx

Hi,
it is going to be criminal with me and my bibliography, but I still have
a question. It turns out, that the best way to generate may own
bibliography is to use the insert command of Lyx (Bibliography) and
type it by hand :-(. But this way I can do something, what jurabib
supposed to; now,

I seem to have messed up my configuration. How can I
get back to my old
configuration?
I was trying to install the prosper layout class and
so I setup an environment variable pointing to my .sty
and .cls files for prosper, then I opened a shell and
started lyx. Then I reconfigured, quit,

Place these two files in the same directory. Can you generate a pdf
file from them using View->PDF (pdflatex)? If not, then I think that
you have a problem with your set up.
i put them in the same directory. i can mark up the pdf, but the
bibliography is not displayed in the marked up document.

I'd be grateful if people who know what they are doing could check it out

try it...)
