Hi, I don´t have any problems using lyx with german language. You may try to use the command rpm -ql lyx | grep locale to find if the messages are installed. There should be a line like /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/lyx.mo (for german) /usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/lyx.mo (for french) Reg

when i start lyx without any existing ~/.lyx/preferences i have the shortcuts displayed and i can use them with the keyboard. if i change any of the options in the preferences, close lyx and restart, the displayed shortcuts are gone and i can't use the keybord-shortcuts, too. deleting the preferen
