Many thanks,
Worked a treat.

Try the following. Before opening Lyx and pybliographer, go into the
hidden folder .lyx and delete the lyxpipe.out and lyxpipe.in files. They
will be re-created at the next start of Lyx and everething should work
fine again.

Thanks, I checked this out.
Best way seems to be to include it in some other field (e.g. Note or How
Published) and use "\url{www.the_url.com}". Means you can't do it directly
thro
xpipe files
before starting Lyx then start pyb. Works for me.

do a search in comp.text.tex, there were several proposals
for citations with urls.

BibTeX seems to be the flavour of the month (maybe for version 2.0 Lyx
will have its own BibTeX interface, and we'll be saved all these
problems!).
OK, I finally got MLA style working (thanks, Herbert!) but URLs don't
show up. I can get a URL to come up by using a different field, but the

I am using pybliographic for lyx (the excuse for asking here)
and wonder whether somebody knows how to get rid of double entries besides
doing it manually.

I'm trying to understand the erratic behavior I get with lyx and
pybibliographic. I typed in the cites in pybliographic. That part is
fine.
I don't understand what lyx wants for configuration in 1.1.6fix1. I
don't think I'm supposed to follow the old advice to just put the

If I use the {\AA},
Trying to view the dvi file gives me 5 errors at the top of the lyx file

It works for me now too. Here is what I did: I changed the location
of the lyxpipe files from ~/.lyx/lyxpipe (on a remote server) to
/home/bveidt/.lyx/lyxpi
At least with lyx-1.1.5 (rpm version) and pybliographer 1.0.0 (rpm
version)
works nicely with Mandrake 7.0
Had some problems with pybliograpic 1.0.0 but came over them.
Hint. the pygtk and pygnome upgrades should be installed
in /usr not /usr/local. /This is achieved by installing the
pygnomes a
I just upgraded to LyX 1.1.5 and I get the same behavior.

I am trying to get pybliographic 1.0 to work with LyX 1.1.4fix3
on a Redhat 6.2 system but without success. Here is what I have done:
I have added this line to ~/.lyx/lyxrc:
\serverpipe "~/.lyx/lyxpipe"
Started lyx.
Started pybliographic.
