I want to divide a large LyX document with 550 pages into two parts. The first
part has 6 chapters, the second part has 3 chapters.
By default, LyX continues the numbering of the chapters of the first part in
part 2 (chapters 7 - 9).
I would like to restart the numbering of the chapters in pa
Thanks! I filed the bug, but then realized there was already a ticket

For the time being, a workaround solution, based on the comments to this

like "1.. feje

It would help if you can export to latex, and tell us what went wrong
with lyx ==> latex export. You can even compare latex output between
1.4.x and 1.5.0.

Hi all
I have a software manual composed of about 15 files using LyX. When read
using LyX, the chapter are correctly numbered eg Chapter 1, Chapter 2,
Chapter 3, etc, and the sub-sections and so on take the correct
numbering as well.
However, when I then create output using PDFLatex, I find that

Hi,
finally -thanks to this list- I'm getting a bit used to lyx/tex.
Yet another question -within a few incarnations I hope to actually be able to answer
questions on this list- :
I have a book with AMS-book style, but I would like the chapters to be numbered with
roman numbers, like; chapter

layout. It's in three part, but I would like the chapters to be numbered
