It's not really a lyx question, rather a latex one, I guess... but however, somebody might be able to help me...
I'm beginning to write my Ph Dissertation, with a (slightly cutomized) book layout. It's in three part, but I would like the chapters to be numbered without getting back to one when beginning a new part. I mean, something like Part 1 -chapter 1 -chapter 2 Part 2 -chapter 3 -chapter 4 ... I guess I could redefine the \part command to save the chapter counter, change part and restore the counter... but please tell me there's something more elegant! Thank you, Matthieu
