Hi there:
Thank you for the new release of LyX! I have two files that
incorporate change bars into the 1.3.6 release; a diff file and a bzip

both files attached and the file was bounced back for being too large,
then I tried just
Hi there:
Attached is second patch file, the bzip archive for the patch to 1.3.6
for change bars (with a couple of bug fixes).
See my previous message for the diff file and details about the patch.
Thanks,

now, the configure thing is something annoying i will check up on
later on - now i want to get change-bars going - and it is happening!
it seems to be important where you place the cursor in the document
when enabling "track changes". placing the cursor before ERT

Great! I'd suggest trying to find out why the configure script is failing
to find dvips. To see what's going on, I'd add some "ec

\converter dvi ps "dvips -o $$o $$i" ""

now, this is the output from lyx console (dvipost-1.0 is installed system wide):

Don't use this; it is regenerated automatically by Edit->Reconfigure.
You'll lose your additions. Create a new file ~/.lyx/preferences for your
own
i am getting closer at a solution.
i tried to manually insert the suggested \convert lines in my
~/.lyx/lyxrc.default
only the dvips line was missing - and that worked. now, i was
wondering why i am not allowed changing the converter from inside lyx?
pressing the preferences->converters->new but

So did you follow Paul Rubin's final suggestion through?

thanks angus!
lyx builds nicely after applying the patch. i can enable "track
changes" upon starting lyx, however, an old problem is reoccuring
preventing me from testing further.
its been discussed at the list previously, but i never found the solution:

countenance for a bug fix release.
