Hi, I wrote my whole thesis in LyX on WinXP and linux. You don't need to do anything special to the .lyx files in my experience. If you get complaints about the CR characters I think PFE32 (Programmers File Editor, for windows) can save text file as DOS or Unix. And you can always do the same t
