Hi again, I have solved the problem. I think my computer had very little space at C, and probably the virtual memory had not enough. I have uninstalled a lot of programs and I have liberated space. Now it works... last a while, but it works. I still continue using the version 1.4.4... :) Maybe s

Further to my previous email - if I apt-get remove lyx and rm -rf ~/.lyx, compile and run lyx-1.1.6fix3 I get the same problem with foils.lyx etc but all else is ok have fun, SteveC [EMAIL PROTECTED] fractalus.com/steve
