Hello Les,
I found out that the program I use for creating the graphs (Origin) can
export images in the PDF format so that solved the problem. I tried
substituting the font too (Arial CE for Arial Unicode MS) which even
solved the problem with EPS images. Thanks for the advice :)

Hello Lyx users :)
I have a problem with images in lyx. I'm writing a thesis and some graphs
are included. The problem is with the written part of the graphs -
legends, axes descriptions etc. Some diacritic markers are not displayed
in lyx output - like the letter Č is displayed as C. But wh

What I do at the moment is, that make a ps-file and convert it with pstoedit
into pdf. Works but takes more time and also more memory-space for the ps.
I don't know, why it doesn't work in Lyx 1.5.x but did work in 1.4.x ...?
I tried texlive-extra-utils, what doesn't help.

Depends on the abilities of your dvi-viewer. If you convert dvi->ps
and view that, you'll see that the image is actually there. Ditto if
you convert dvi->pdf.
You are absolutely right, Angus. Thanks a lot!
