Oh, well I just discovered the problem. Lyx is not to blame but my
firewall Comodo which had lyx running "sandboxed"

just now discovered that in my 1.6.6.1. alt installer lyx on vista copy
& paste from other applications (like Firefox or openoffice) into lyx is
not working. Any suggestions? C&P within lyx works well. Also I am sure
it has worked before.

I have been using 1.5.4 and copy-and-paste still doesn't work. My
workaround now is very slow -- I save to a text file and then use LyX to
Insert -> File -> Plain Text ... I repeat this many times and it is a
