Greetings LyX users,
I'm using LyX 1.6 in a Linux virtual machine under OS X which uses the
option key as the alt key. (I also use the OS X version, of course.)
I would like to have as many Emacs keybindings as possible in LyX, in
particular, Alt-f to move forward by word, Alt-d to delete
Thanks you all!

Yes. See Help>Customization and the *.bind files in your LyX-Dir's "bind"
subdir.

Hello.
Is there a possibility to create in LyX hotkeys (keyboard shortcuts) for
specific math characters, e.g.:
ctrl-( => imitate the action of the () button on the math bar
ctrl-shift-p => \pi
etc.
Thanks ahead,

To Everyone,
Is there anyway to assign "hotkeys" in Lyx? In other words, I want the
type something like "Ctrl-a" and get an alpha on the screen (\alpha in
LaTex).
Thanks in advance!
