Hi,
I don't understand why the minus sign "-" isn't properly converted by latex.
Is there a way to correct this without escaping to latex, as you suggested?
best regards,
rodrigo.

I am also annoyed by this bug. Is it a lyx bug or a glipper bug? It is
amazing it has not been fixed yet; does anybody in the gnome community use
LyX? Or they just don't care for glipper?

Dear lyx'ers, I've noticed lyx 1.6.5 automatically adds the package
esint to the preamble whenever the symbol \int is invoked. Is this
really necessary? AFAIK, \int is included in the standard fonts, but
esint is not included by default in most latex installations.

Hi lyx-users,
whenever I use double quotes " in lyx, I get instead the expression
\textquotedbl{} in the plain latex file. Strangely enough, lyx does not
translate \textquotedbl{} to " if I attempt to import the tex file.
This behavior does not affect latex compilation, but it does strain m
Today I received a buggy tex document from a friend, and LyX could't import
it:

Hi, I am using lyx 1.6.1 and whenever I use the insert
delimiters dialog from the math panel with unmatched
delimiters, it never lets me choose the second delimiter:
upon choosing one bracket, either left or right, the dialog
quits and lyx inserts whatever was selected for the second bracket.

Hi, thanks for the answer. Are there plans to support this style in
future versions? Would it be too annoying to request this feature
from the developers?

Hello fellow lyxers,
I was wondering what is the lyx-way of writing slashed operators. I
have been using the slashed style
http://ctan.math.utah.edu/ctan/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/carlisle/slashed.sty
but unfortunately lyx (1.5.6) is unable to render it, though the
output is fine. For the

hi,
it would be nice if, when editing a document part of a master document, it
would be possible to toggle the lyx cross-reference dialog to only show
equation labels from the child document being edited.

Hi, I just found out this command has changed to
dialog-show findreplace
However, typing "findreplace" in the command minibuffer won't
help discovering the right command, as it does for other commands,
like font-free-apply, for instance.

Hi, can anyone tell me how to bind a keyboard key to the find-replace
function? The following used to work in lyx-1.4,
\bind "F3" "find-replace"
but now in (lyx-1.5.3svn) it doesn't work anymore. Incidently, the command
minibuffer doesn't give a clue.
thanks,
rodrigo.
Hi,
every time I choose to open a new window for an existing open document,
it fails after the first try, that is, the first attempt works, but after I
close the new window and try again, it fails to open.
The rc-versions had a buggy new window behavior, but I don´t recall this
happening. So is

Hi, I confirm this, except not with your particular example. It occurs rather

Hi, everyone. I have been using lyx-1.5 beta 3 for some time now, and so far
everything works very nicely, except, perhaps, that the cursor movement is
very slow.
There is at least one annoying bug, however, which is always triggered

large portions of a text without lyx crashing.
So far, all problems I had seen with 1.5-beta2 seem fixed.

Hi, list. First I would like to congratulate the development team on
the many improvements made for the 1.5 version.
Now I would like to state some difficulties I have encountered with it.

I compiled lyx-1.5 beta 2 on a debian (etch) amd64 machine.
