That seems to be the problem. Anyway, just a little inconvenience.
thank you

Equations with labels appear largely displaced on the right side of
the lyx window on the screen, as pointer switches focus from the
math mode of that equation to the text display mode.
(Equations are correctly centered with numbers on the right, when my
file gets printed out).
Using lyx 2.2.3

P.S.
Maybe making that parameter be a function of the border width, could
be a good idea, allowing margin notes automatically fitting available

I noticed that the name of the window hosting my LyX editing
session has the form 'LyX: filename', that is the path to the
opened filename has been discarded.
E.g., entering the command

spawns a window with name 'LyX: file1.lyx' open

Is it possible to mark the position of the doc behind the cursor, like in vi

If not, could it be implemented in the next future?

I noticed that extended ascii characters cannot be included in labels
to equations.
In the present case, it happens that the character "à" is correctly rendered
within the label, while in the editing session, but it disappears the next
time the file will be opened.
That happens even though la

I noticed that subscripts, in math mode, are not aligned at the same level.
In postscript and dvi translation of the expression (math mode) r_a - r_b
subscripts a and b lay on different lines, b being on the lower one.
how to fix that ugly rendering?
thank you for your help

I would like to import files in sgml format.
Altough sgmltools-2 and docbook have been installed, i can see no 'linuxdoc'
or 'sgml' prompt within inport menu.
Prompt for 'linuxDoc' format within export menu is whown, though, when sgml
(linuxdoc article) class has been selected in my doc layout.

I have just tried to change language to a lyx doc that i have just
written using default setup.
It is a short text with title, author, abstract and standard headings.
It cannot be converted into dvi, due to errors, both at the title section:

I cannot import a tex file into lyx, apparently because
lyx searches the conversion program RelyxFigure.pm in /usr/local
rather than in /usr. Here is the error message:
