Hello everybody!
I'm working on a thesis, currently running Lyx 1.6 over MikTex 2.7 on a Vista
environment. Just in case I'm using the standard "Report" layout. When
generating the PDF via pdflatex everything looks pretty except for the graphics.
Eventhough they look pretty good on Lyx, on the pdf
Excuse me for this noob question.
I have Lyx 1.6.1 under Windows. I want to update to 1.6.2. What is the way to do
this? I have to download the new version and install and the installer update
Lyx automatically?
Thanks!
Thanks Vincent! Will check thar right away..
Hi there!
I'm a rather new user of LYX. At the moment I'm typing a report in spanish. I've
already downloaded the aspell spanish dictionary but failed to find a spanish
thesaurus. Is there one for Lyx?
Thank you very much for your help!

I have a document with PNG images. When I generate the PDF it seems the images
are compresed with JPEG, right ? Is it possible to improve the quality of
those JPEGs, because the images contain text and it looks really bad ? Or
better, can I use PNG ?
Thanks.

something wrong with *my* installation: I've seen
quite a few posts pointing to the same problem, which appears after an

Either the LaTeX package is utterly corrupted, or Lyx does not detect its

has proven useless.

What vectorial images formats does LyX support for importing?
Does it support advanced attributes like gradients and patterns?
In my case I use freehand 10 and I would like to import a draw for the

Ok, this is a work around. But I want to do that on the .layout scripts
so that if I distribute my layouts, other users don't have to do this
themselves. I'll see if I can write a patch for adding such a command.
