i decided to broaden my search to include "Customization"
and found the chapter on the lyx server. it works just fine now.

we're probably using different versions? yes, you're using 1.3.2 and i'm
using 1.2.3. i still didn't find any reference to gv or swap.

i'm using the slides style in lyx 1.2.3 and would like them
to come out in landscape. when i select Layout->Document->Paper->
Landscape it cuts off most of the slide and prints it upside down.

i just recently switched to 1.2.1 from 1.0.9(i think) and noticed that
the new version doesn't seem to recognize eps figures as viable graphics
files. the "browse" options for insert->graphics gives only gif|jpg|gif|jpg|gz
as options and all of my figures(eps) display the message "error convertin

these into lyx documents. i've figured out how to do that, but
what i can't seem to figure out is how to cross reference these
tables in the lyx document. the trick in the user manual only seems
