Thanks, I'll try that.

any clue that could help me solve this issue.
Note that in the dvi document, math symbols are properly displayed.
Thanks in advance for any help,

utomatically transfered it to French(GUTenberg).
Using "Français" (french) again makes it work correctly.
Thanks,

In the dvi output :(
I send in attachement a small .lyx file (in french) which produces such
an output.
Look at line 2-3 and 7-8.

Which is _bad_ :(
How could I correct this ?

en I insert a figure, lyx put it where the cursor is. This means
that to have a centered figure, I need to modify the paragraph layout
myself, which is anoying.
Is there still an "insert-centered-with-spacing figure" command ?
Thanks,

2. I'm definitely against code repetition, which is what you do when
having two "\usepackage{babel}".
The first solution I proposed (adding a \floatname command) works nice
however.

can see that things have changed now. Please, tell me what is
the best solution :
1. Add "\floatname{algorithm}{Algorithme}" in the preambule to override
the \floatname{algorithm}{Algorithm} of LyX
2. Change an option in the new very cool GUI. Which one ? :)
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
In lyx1.1.6fix3, there is a bug when one inserts a superscript using not
the "^" key but "insert/special character/superscript" : the superscript
is inserted BEFORE the current character position.

Hello !
I'm really sorry to ask a question about this, since I saw many messages
in the archive, but I couldn't find the answer to my problem.
I have a foo.cls file that I must use for a paper submission. I put it
in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/misc directory and I ran texhash.

Hi !
I use lyx both at work (recent computer) and at home (old one). I tried
to compile lyx 1.1.6 at home but I couldn't build "src/lyx" because it
was too big (compiling lyx took all the 170Mo I had left on my
computer).
I had to remove lots of thinks (thank's dpkg for doing things so
neatly). F
In Lyx 1.1.6, when I add a greek letter using a shortkey in text mode
(ex: "bla1 bla2 bla3 M-g a bla4 bla5"), the cursor is put BEFORE the
greek letter after I inster it. This thus produces (in my example) :
bla1 bla2 bla3 bla4 bla5 \alpha
It really bothers me since I used to type my greek letter

Moreover, the language option "francais" disappeared... why ? I use
"français" as language (especially for ispell).

There exists a "proof.sty" package with a "\infer{}{}" command, but if
A,B,C,D,E are big math formulaes, I can't use "\infer{}{}" in math mode
